The People and the Olive: film screening, discussion panel and olive oil sampling

Join FTOÉ for a screening of the acclaimed film “The People and the Olive” (summary below). The night will include olive oil sampling, courtesy of Ten Thousand Villages and Zatoun (makers of Fair Trade Palestinian olive oil), as well as a panel discussion after the film screening.

“An inspiring documentary about the daily joys and struggles of Palestinian fair trade farmers and the American ultra-marathoners who ran across the West Bank planting olive trees and bridging cultures along the way.”

A Chocolate Extravaganza!

Join Judi at Credible Edibles for a delectable pre-Valentine’s Affair. We will learn all about the amazing health benefits of chocolate, how to choose the best ones, sample many different Fair Trade varieties and prepare a luscious four-course chocolate inspired meal. A portion of the proceeds of this class will be donated to Fair Trade Ottawa to support their work in making Ottawa a Fair Trade Town.
