*La version française suit*

Fair Trade Soirée Équitable is an evening of entertainment, the best food and drink Ottawa has to offer, and an opportunity to build connections with groups that are working towards greater global equality. As FTOÉ’s only major fundraiser during the year, your participation makes a tremendously positive impact on the Fair Trade community in Ottawa. In exchange, our team works hard to make sure that you have a wonderful evening!

The evening will include wonderful guest speakers–including Jen Hunter, Expert in Community Mobilization, and Robert Fox, CEO of Oxfam Canada–and will feature the beautiful music of local folk band, Crystal Coasts. Representatives from the leaders in Fair Trade and sustainable initiatives will be in attendance, so be sure to bring business cards and a welcoming smile!

Enjoy delicious Fair Trade and local finger foods and beverages, including Bridgehead’s delicious coffee, and take a tour of the Bridgehead Roastery to see behind the scenes of their amazing final product! Knowledgeable baristas will be on-site, as well as a number of Fair Trade Ottawa Équitable’s volunteers, who will be able to speak to the social consciousness that we work to raise locally and beyond.

It’s not all business, either. Be sure to visit our photo booth for a little fun to round out your evening, and be sure to bid on our beautiful silent auction items that will tempt even the most hesitant shopper!

In celebration of World Fair Trade Day, this promises to be an evening to remember. We are delighted that we will be able to share it with you!

Venue: Bridgehead Roastery – 130 Anderson St

Date: May 10th, 2014 – 7-10pm
